The hieroglyph mr,
in Ancient Egyptian, represents the hoe,
or tilling instrument. but it is also the word for water and for love It is also the 36° right angled triangle, the most sacred geometrical figure of Egypt, and from which the name of the country itself, TaMera, or The Land that was Measured, was derived. Thus mer is a fluid term with the meta-meaning: The pyramids of Egypt were known by the same word: mir. We take these meanings as a cue and license to play word games with the mr root, as is not only lawful but a feature of the ancient Egyptian language, except we feel free to cross to other languages also, to arrive at: mer = sea (in French) mercury Merovingian Mars mir = peace (in Russian) morris-men merestone (OE: standing stone or boundary stone) meresman OE: one who maintains the merestones) memory moral merry myrrh mercy mirror Mt Moriah (site of Solomon's Temple) marriage Morocco and many more...
